Track and Field

Our Track and Field program provides athletes of all ages with the opportunity to develop speed, strength, agility, and endurance. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, our program encourages athletes to challenge themselves, work as a team, and grow in their athletic abilities. Our program is designed to meet the needs of all athletes, from 4th-6th grade to Junior High, and High School, offering different experiences at every level.

High School Track and Field

Our High School Track and Field program is designed for athletes who are ready to compete at a higher level and push themselves to achieve their personal best. The program covers a wide range of events, including sprints, middle distance, long distance, hurdles, relays, and field events (such as high jump, long jump, and shot put), providing athletes with the opportunity to excel in the area that best suits their skills.

Junior High Track and Field

Our Junior High Track and Field program (grades 7-8) focuses on developing young athletes’ skills in a variety of track and field events while promoting a healthy sense of competition. This level is all about building a foundation of endurance, technique, and sportsmanship, preparing athletes for future success in high school athletics.

4th-6th Grade Track and Field

Our league program is the perfect introduction to the sport, giving young athletes the opportunity to explore different track and field events in a safe and supportive environment. The program has five practices and one meet to introduce athletes to track. The focus is on having fun while learning the basics of running, jumping, and throwing.

Season Commitment

High School and Junior High programs require 2-3 practices a week. These athletes will have 5-6 meets, a TAIAO State Meet and a Homeschool State Meet. The season starts in January and lasts until May. Preseason will be available for those who are not multi-sport athletes.

League programs (4th-6th) require 1 practice a week with 1 local meet with the Waco private school league. The season begins in March with a track meet in April.

Practice Locations

Practice locations can be at our home field 1100 East Lakeshore Dr, River Valley Middle School or City of Waco Hart-Patterson.

Track meet information varies by year and is based on available track meets in the area.

Can I choose which level my athlete plays in?
